Our Services

Second Chance Developmental Treatment Center is a Christian Facility, committed to helping troubled youths and their families.  We are out to make a difference in these troubled teens lives. Youth will come for many different reasons and from a wide variety of backgrounds.  These are good kids who are in need of hope and guidance, and for many this will be their last chance.

It is a 24-hour, 7 day week facility where the youth are monitored, supervised and provided with basic needs daily.  These basic needs are but not limited to food, shelter, counseling, safety, spiritual involvement (if one so chooses), personal hygiene skills, medical services, emergency services and medication management.  We accept private, court-ordered, or DCS custodial children.

“Things were easier when she was little. When she had a problem we could sit down and talk about it. Now, I’m at the end of my rope and we can’t talk without it being an argument. Time and time again, I have tried to get my child who is now a teenager, to do right. But she won’t mind, stays out late, and now I’m finding that she is skipping school. Where can I turn before she gets into real trouble?”

Sometimes despite our best efforts we need Help From Others!

TESTIMONIAL

Dear Mr. Lamont Ingram,

"How are you? Well it looks like your dream came true you are finally helping kids stay off the streets, and out of trouble. That is the best thing anybody can do for kids like me that need that motivation and guidance.  I hope you instill the kind of courage and spirit you gave to me to everyone that works for you or that is around you. And a thing I have learned while I am going through tough times is that the pain you feel in hard times lets you know you are still breathing and your heart is beating. I have some good news of my own.  I got off of probation about a week ago.  I am so happy it has been a long hard road  these past few years.  I am also playing football and going to play baseball if I do good at try-outs.  I’m finally going into high school this year.  Well Sir, I really want to thank-you because without you I don’t know where I would be either dead or in jail and Being around you and hearing your story really helped me and I’m glad God put me in your path. I thank you Mr. Lamont Ingram.  God Bless You!!"
